Behind the Scenes: Covered in Paint and Papayas

Papayas

There have been a lot of random happenings in the studio (and out) lately.

So, I idea I'd share some behind the scenes snippets…Including the time I spilled 2 galloons of paint in the driveway, a botched project that never saw the low-cal of twenty-four hours (until now), papaya outtakes, and more.

Let'southward become to it…

Paint drips

Outtake from the brushstroke nails shoot. I loved this photo, but since you lot literally tin't come across whatsoever part of the nails in this one, information technology didn't make the cut.

Celebrate!

Celebrated 50k on Instagram with a block! Because how else would you celebrate something like that?

When you demand you DIY vintage chapeau pendant lights to hang in a very specific area, that doesn't have rafters, you become artistic.

If you're wondering exactly what the hell is going on here, don't worry, I am too. 🙂 Just kidding, I know what's going on here… We fastened my DIY blanket ladder to the ductwork and so hung the pendant lights from the ladder.

If you follow me on Snapchat, you've already heard the sob story about the pigment spill. But I never explained WHY 2 galloons of paint concluded up spilling, right next to a knocked over ladder.

Long story short, you should never use completely full pigment cans to weigh downwardly a ladder that is holding upward a big slice of drywall / backdrop. Especially when it's windy outside. 🙁

Sometimes the thought of something ends upwardly being MUCH better than the finished production. And that was unfortunately the case for these 'Beloved' crescents. Anissa did an crawly task on them, simply once we added the glaze and sprinkles, it went downhill. Actually, that's completely my error. I'yard the i who added it.Impaired move on my part. Difficult to read what it said later adding the glaze and it just didn't photo well.

Luckily, we had these funnel cake dearest letters as a dorsum upwardly and they turned out cracking.

Lets make out!

Evidence of the fact that I really do only take two hairdos at work. Bun #1 in full issue, while I tried (unsuccessfully) to go an Instagram video for this nail tutorial.

Anissa tirelessly working on shaving the bottom parts of the chocolate with a knife, so that they were perfectly smooth for the V-Day candy boxes DIY.

Half dozen donuts

Leftover donuts from the breakfast in bed shoot. Yum!

Trying to figure out exactly where I should be in this field of tall grass, so that no i tin see me. Hadn't figured information technology out at this point. Hither's how it turned out though, in instance you're wondering.

And terminal only non least….papaya outtakes! We bought 6 or 7 behemothic papayas to play around with for this postal service and so we only ended upwardly using one. Ha! Of course that would happen.

Naturally, I had pigment all over my hands while styling because information technology was the same twenty-four hour period every bit the groovy paint spill of 2016.

What kinds of things have you lot been getting into lately? Anything foreign / crazy / funny to share? I'd dearest to hear about it.
